State of the sector

Software companies here fall into three groups. Some sell tools to the people who build and fly spacecraft: Epsilon3 for operations procedures, First Resonance for factory floors, OKAPI:Orbits for collision avoidance and Invariant AI for licensing paperwork. Some put computers in orbit, like Aethero and Ramon.Space. The rest turn satellite imagery into answers, such as Picterra, Latitudo 40 and Spacept.
Epsilon3 launched version 2.0 of its platform in June 2026, a year after it was cleared for US government programmes. Aethero ran Nvidia Jetson computers in orbit on its Phobos cubesat in March 2026 and plans its next mission for October. OKAPI:Orbits won an ESA contract in March 2026 to connect space traffic with air traffic management.
Kubos was bought by Xplore in 2022, along with its Major Tom mission control software. Southern Stars and Abstract Assembly have shown no public activity for years.
