Mission
An analytics and engineering firm serving space and satellite, cyber, and R&D clients.
BryceTech is the firm behind numbers everyone in the space industry quotes. Its free reports, Start-Up Space, Smallsats by the Numbers, the quarterly global activity briefings, and the Satellite Industry Association's annual industry report, are standard references for investment and launch statistics. Carissa Christensen founded it in 2017, continuing the space analytics practice she had built at The Tauri Group.
The reports are the visible tip. The business is analytics and engineering consulting for government, NASA and the Department of Defense above all, and its recent growth has come from chem-bio defense: in 2025 it won prime contracts supporting the Pentagon's chemical and biological defense program office. Giving the industry its reference data builds the brand that anchors the consulting.
It is an established consultancy of a couple of hundred people rather than a venture startup, and much of its work now sits outside space entirely. The space reports continue all the same, and a good share of what anyone knows about the size and shape of the space economy passes through its spreadsheets.
